How Do Points and Gems Work?

By using Yelay on Sonic, you can maximize your potential S token rewards through two primary mechanisms:

1. Activity Points (Direct User Benefits)

  • Earn 2x more points than passive holding by simply depositing assets through Yelay
  • Asset Boosts: USDC.e (5x), wS/S (4x), and WETH (2x)
  • Total Potential: Up to 10x more points compared to passive holding

2. Gems Program (Indirect Benefits)

  • 37.5% of the total airdrop is allocated to apps like Yelay
  • Yelay can earn Gems based on user activity
  • Gems are deemable for S tokens
  • Yelay will distribute the resulting S tokens back to users

How Will Yelay Share Gems?

Sonic will distribute gems to protocol teams pro rata according to the GemScore around the end of June.

All S tokens allocated to Yelay will be topped up to the Yelay Staking Rewards Portal and distributed among YLAY token holders and stakers according to their sYLAY ("staked YLAY") holdings.
